Compatibility issues, due to new product versions.

This means bad news, but also good news:

The bad news first:

By doing further development on the Adobe Premiere series, Adobe unfortunately decided to discontinue backwards compatibility to their plugin interfaces.

This means, that plugins that were developed for Premiere 6.5 and earlier are not necessarily compatible with Premiere Pro 7.0.

Because of that, Adobe released a new Plugin-SDK, but unfortunately the source of the new interface was migrated to the latest development environment from Microsoft which is called 'MS VisualStudio .NET'.

Because of the nature of a freeware project, there is no budget available to purchase a legal copy of the new development environment and therefore it is not possible to port the plugins to become compatible with Premiere Pro.

However, according to some tests, the following subset of Adobe-plugins seem to work with Premiere Pro to a certain degree:

Crossfade, Bubble, Waves, Rays, Colors, Twister, Shaft, Spiral, Dream, Curtain, Airport, Mosaic and BW Flash.

And now to some good news:

As now Uleads latest Version of VideoStudio 8.0 is available for testing, it can be said that all Ulead-plugins on this site are fully compatible with the new Version.
